Does anone have an effective Craigs List ad they’ve been using? I have one that doesn’t generate many calls and I want to try something new/different. If you have an ad that you are using, please send it to me or post it here for me (and others) to try.
I pasted mine blow in case anyone wants to give it a try.
Thanks

March 10, 2011 at 8:30 pm #154920AnonymousGuestCraigslist is chalked full of very very low end, low quality cleaners. There is NO way to compete with them at 3 rooms for $149. People who shop Craigslist for carpet cleaning, I believe, are not my customers. They are typically low income and strictly shopping price. They could care less about quality and I will guarantee have some of the flithiest carpet you have ever seen.
March 10, 2011 at 8:48 pm #154921AnonymousInactiveAll good points, and price shopping probably explains my low response rate. However, any avenue (especially a free one) is another way to get my name out there.
March 11, 2011 at 1:00 am #154922AnonymousGuestTis true. You may want to create/post an ad with an urgency to act now without a price and see what happens
March 11, 2011 at 2:38 am #154923AnonymousInactiveI haven’t done Craiglist. If I was, I would focus on everything we offer and not focus on price. There is always somebody cheaper, but not always somebody better!

March 24, 2011 at 7:33 pm #154925KY13ParticipantMarc- I have been posting on CL on and off for years. I just started posting again a couple weeks ago. I would definitly recommend using a posting agency to post your ads for you. I am currently paying them $250 a month for 10 posts a day. If youre interested (or anybody else) let me know and i’ll give you the company’s number.
March 24, 2011 at 8:38 pm #154926AnonymousGuestEvan – I did not know we had a Green Cert???
March 24, 2011 at 9:05 pm #154927KY13ParticipantIf I remember correctly, Cody said that our products were considered “Green”, and that we could advertise accordingly.
March 24, 2011 at 11:29 pm #154928AnonymousInactiveThis is one that Cody should weigh in on. As I understand it, we consider ourselves to have a very environmentally friendly “green” cleaning system. Meaning . . . our method. Our products are environmentally friendly but not “green certified”.
I’ve had about 2 questions on being green cleaners in the last 5 years. I tell them we are not, but our method was a “green” when “green” wasn’t cool.
Cody???
March 26, 2011 at 4:48 am #154929AnonymousInactiveTo answer the question–Our system is greener than any steam system around and we are working with the LMCCA in an effort to have an outside agency certify our system as a green system. Our products are safe for pets, people and the environment in our normal dilution ratios, but we have not had an outside agency test our products for a green certification. The green certified logo above should not be used in our ads because we have no right to use their logo until they have tested our products and given us such a certification.
May 2, 2011 at 3:45 pm #154930AnonymousInactiveI tried Craigslist about a year ago, post Ad on it in morning and afternoon I was on second page, after couple of weeks I just gave up on CL because I didn’t get a single job. In order for me to be on first page all the time I would have to keep on posting every 15 min. Here in bigger cities everything is a “little bit ” to fast.
May 3, 2011 at 3:02 am #154931KY13ParticipantIllinois- Thats why you should use a posting service to post the ad for you.
May 3, 2011 at 5:37 pm #154932AnonymousInactiveEvan,
I knew you will say that :), but you right. Anyway, are you getting any jobs of the CL? If so, like how many per month?
Maybe I should try it, you never know. Can you txt me company info with ph.#?
ThanksAdrian
708-717-1229May 3, 2011 at 11:56 pm #154933KY13ParticipantRight now i’m getting about a job per week.
My area is becoming saturated with carpet cleaners on CL. I use to get about a job per day, back when I first started advertising on CL a couple years ago.
I’ll text you that info tomorrow. -
