Costco has a new advertising book. They are trying to phase out the business of the month and have put together a book that they now will distribute at the check out and hand out at the door when leaving. I just had a meeting with the sales rep who is a Costco employee. They had a tremendous response last time and they are going to keep doing it every three months. I was told that this would be a nationwide thing. Each Costco will do it for local business in the area. They only have 1/4 page ads from now on. The cost was $95 and they print and hand out 30,000 copies. You do have to have a membership, and provide the ad to them. This is so cheep, but I still spent $200 on a years supply of toilet paper and cereal before I made it out the door.

lol, that is the big problem with Costco everytime I go in the store I spend hundreds of dollars.
I like the idea of the advertising book and will try it out if they offer it in my area. Anyone else going to try it out?…

All I have to do is send him some graphics and they will do the rest. It keeps getting better by the minute. We both talked about the ridicules low price. He told me that Costco does not make a dime of money off this and it actually cost them some. They benefit from giving something back to their members and bringing in the local community. As stated before this is supposed to be a nation wide thing.

All we have in my area is a Sam’s Club, and ever since Sam Waltman died, their prices have gone through the roof.
Apparently the kids have seen the light of money.November 23, 2009 at 9:39 pm #153916Ca22ParticipantThe ad just came out. My dad showed it to me after he went to Costco. They handed it to him when they checked him out at the door. The ad looks really good. The only problem was there are 4 carpet and floor ads in the book. One of them really stands out and looks very good and they have a 20% coupon. We offered a 10% off coupon. Next time I would show a different promo like free fabric protectant or something to capture more attention. Still for the price I paid it is great to see us in the market place.
