I think 25 years ago coffee was coffee. Now, the choices of coffee flavors and brands are endless. I was told that de-caffinated coffee has a dye added to it, therfore, a coffee stain remover is needed for the coffee stain and a dye remover for the dye. This is only a recent assumption of mine. If anyone has concrete info on this, please share.
Brian is right. Often when they take the caffeine out of coffee, they also end up stripping the color out. To give it that “coffee look”, they add dyes to it. Supposedly that green can of Folgers Decaf is one of the worst. Every brand is different, so it is tough to say what works each time in my opinion. There are times coffee comes out easy with 101. Other times, nothing seems to work.
What if the coffee comes out and then returns again and again and again. I did a job 2 days ago, and cleaned the coffee up. It looked great, before i left, I checked up on it, and it had already come back! The lady called up and said she wanted me to hit it again. I told her that I would and am scheduled to return tomorrow. It is a cream colored berber with very stiff loops. I know that there is a name for that type but I forgot. ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated.
After you have removed the stain again, get your hair dryer out and dry that spot before you go. That way you’ll know what you’ve got before you leave the house. If the spot is dry there should be no wicking to answer to later.
