September 11, 2005 at 9:49 pm #145082AnonymousInactiveDitto here too. Love it. Great for small areas the big moster cant get to. Also great for trailers and motorhomes.

It’s great to get it from Headquarters now. Our first one from the Oreck dealership didn’t last as long as the 2 from Rexburg.
September 12, 2005 at 3:05 am #145084AnonymousInactivegood for stairs that aren’t overly soiled, but I don’t think it does a good job on the overly soiled stairs.
September 13, 2005 at 1:00 pm #145085KS07ParticipantI bid $95.00 for that machine! and thats my final offer!

Do you use just the regular small green turf pad that coorporate sells or have you found a substitute that works better? How many stairs on average are you cleaning with one side of the pad? How are your pads fairing as it seems the “plate” really tears them up? Are you spraying the stairs heavier or lighter than normal? Would love to use the Oreck, but as of right now I just don’t think it cuts it with the level of soil we face on stairs on a daily basis. As it is, we already spend way to much time using a towel and elbow grease to get the last bit of soil off of stairs.

I use the stair buffer on some pieces of work but not all. Mostly use the big buffer. Sometimes also extract. Depends on the dirt and type of carpet. Sometimes its just how I’m feeling that particular day to be honest.

In the beginning of my using the Oreck orbiter, some 2 plus years ago now, (before HB began selling) the pads would fall off, making it very difficult to clean with. SO… I split the green stripe pad seam with a razor blade and made the pad half as thick and made two thinner and lighter pads out of one. They work much better.
I originally purchased the commercial unit and now have 2 commercial Oreck units. The thinner pads hold better, spin better and work great.
If anyone wants to sell me their heavy duty Oreck, I will buy it and save for a back-up.
