InactiveI have also cleaned a few, but curious if there should be extra caution with the pillow-top kind? Or if they should be cleaned differently? Thanks for the help.

InactiveHow much do you guys normally charge to clean a mattress?
February 27, 2011 at 3:22 pm #145872Anonymous
InactiveI charge the following:
King- $175
Queen- $150
Twin- $125
Single- $100
Optional services can include pet enzyme, disinfectant, deodorizer, and fabric protection. You also want to keep in mind, just like carpet some maybe more soiled than others ( charge a premium or walk away.)February 27, 2011 at 3:58 pm #145873Anonymous
InactiveDoes anyone worry about cleaning a mattress now that bedbugs are back in the spotlight?

InactiveI have tried cleaning a couple of mattresses, but don’t feel that I am doing a decent job. The cleaner gets in there and seems to soak right thorough before you can pull anything out. Also I really don’t feel we have the right heat to kill bed bugs.

Participantwe usually charge $100-$150 depending on how bad it is. Don’t be scared to walk away from the bad ones, we’ve ran away from a few of the bad ones.

InactiveOld Post I know but could somebody post a description of the mattress cleaning process? Or does corporate actually publish something on this topic?

ParticipantWe just use the standard upholstery cleaning method. Never had any problems. Apply 101. Let dwell. Agitate. Extract. Collect paycheck.

InactiveI avoid mattresses if possible, but agree with Evan. Just clean like upholstery. If urine is a concern, don’t guarantee removal. Also, if bed bugs are involved….RUN AWAY!!!! Trust me. I’ve had bed bugs in my house before (thanks relatives!). You do not want anything to do with them. The heat from an extractor (even truckmount) is not hot enough to kill them. Anything involving bed bugs should receive a NO answer from you.
