I would like to hear any results from advertising on Christian Radio?, I would think with the name it would give you an edge over others?.
Also how much did it cost?.
March 24, 2009 at 1:49 pm #153369IN01ParticipantWe haven’t advertised on Christian radio here but the price sheet we got was like $400/month for 16 spots during the month.
We do advertise in a church bulletin here. We picked one of the larger congregations and it’s $50/month. We’ve pretty much broken even on it so I’m not sure it’s the way to go.
We get a lot of questions on whether or not we’re a “Christian company”. So if the Christian radio station is big where you are, I would think it would be worth it. Here there are several Christian stations so we just have stuck to flyers and mailers.
I would ask the station in your area what their main demographic is. If it’s college age or HS students that they cater to, it may not be the best demographic for you.
Here, a couple of the stations cater to the younger Christians rather than the older generations that actually would be spending the money. That’s why we decided against it.

The demographics of the large one is a great fit for the target customer base and I think it would get some good results but have to look into the actual costs involved.

I say that we are and, if pressed, share my church name and that the company is a franchise operation.
I have never, knowingly had any problems as a result of that reply.

Many stations have been willing to trade services at least the first time advertising. You might run a radio only special to get a more accurate feel for the results.

The carpets are usually fairly well maintained so they are not overly soiled or stained therefore I can offer them better pricing. I usually offer them a below commercial price. My way of passing along the many blessings I have recieved and still cover my expenses plus a little for the effort regardless of the faith they may be.
April 6, 2009 at 8:09 pm #153374pachecoParticipantWe have a listing of 849 churches in Lancaster County, PA and I am going to get into a Excel format after purging and see what happens in several mailings.
I believe that every church that has called for a quote, we have serviced…
Many returns and they are good to pay…
April 6, 2009 at 10:02 pm #153375AnonymousInactiveWe have recently bartered services with a Christian radio station. We cleaned their office, and they ran an ad for us. I ‘think’ it has been ok. We have received more than the value of the job to this point. I doubt that you’ll be overwhelmed by appointments but if it’s the right price, it can’t hurt.
April 7, 2009 at 1:30 am #153376AnonymousInactiveI decided to try the mailing to local churches first and then I will try out a small test on the radio and see how it goes.
April 7, 2009 at 11:03 am #153377pachecoParticipantYou might try visiting churches and giving them literature and speaking with someone and giving a quote.
You cannot quote a churc over the phone, and they will/are not going to have just anyone clean for them and they are good pay.
So, I may do this myself…now that I am thinking about it…
