I had an incredibly large candle wax spill to do today. Approximatly a pint of wax was spilled on the carpet covering a 3 foot diameter circle with splashes out even further. Just by chance, on my way to the job, my good buddy Mr. Dirtbag gave me a call. Among other things, we discussed the wax. He suggested using hot water to melt the wax and then extract. The water needs to be 180ish degrees and use plenty(about 8 gals for this job). I worked on about 2 sqft at a time, pouring nearly a gallon of hot water down at a time then qently brushing it. Some areas needed 2 – 3 attemps but I got it all out with no color or residue left behind. I and the customer were truely amazed.
Mr. Scriba, I owe you a good American beer!
