Once mold/mildew is on the carpet, it is usually there for good. My employee worked for a couple of companies that did floods and he said they didn’t even bother trying to clean mold/mildew as is was a lost cause once it was on the carpet. My experience says the same thing. Don’t know if 101 kills mites, etc. I would guess it doesn’t. Ideally most of those should be taken care of with a good vacuuming, but that may not necessarily be the case, especially with fleas. I wouldn’t clean a house with fleas, and would recommend an exterminator before cleaning. Just because you get rid of the fleas on the carpet (at that time) doesn’t do any good when they are also on the couch, bed, area rug in kitchen on hardwood, etc.
FYI, don’t believe the hype and do your research. For example, some areas of the country are worse for fleas, dust mites, etc than others. In my area (Denver) dust mites are not “native” to the area and usually don’t exist unless people bring them from other parts of the country. Our area is too dry for them to thrive. Unfortunately, if you read competitors ads in our area for carpet cleaning and duct cleaning, you wouldn’t know this as they try and scare you with dust mite pictures. Still obviously good to clean carpet/ducts, but only for the right reasons.
