Is it possible to have items that are on back order or not readily in stock somehow marked as so on the online catalogue? Or maybe get an email notification if something is on back order when my order is filled instead of finding out when my order arrives? If an operator is in a pinch and cutting it close on product waiting on an order, this notification would probably be helpful for them to explore other avenues (i.e. hitting up neighbor operator until more arrives). Thankfully this has never happened to me (knock on wood), but I could have possibly went looking for a replacement switch for my non-working oreck stair buffer this past weekend when I had more free time if I would have known it was on back order instead of finding out today when my order arrived. I know many items are not kept on hand at all times, and I have no issue with that. But, it would be nice to know when ordering an item of it’s availability in the HB warehouse, or having a heads up if the item will not be arriving with the rest of the order. Just throwing the idea out there as I think it would benefit the operators and I don’t think it would be that hard to do.

It is difficult to have a spare part for everything that may fail, however, many of the small replacement parts are inexpensive and economical to stock at home. We are supposed to have a 1 month supply of product on the shelf to avoid a panic situation in the event of a back-order. This is also sometimes difficult when you run into a few consecutive days of pet urine or an unexpected huge comercial job. With all that said, I still agree that notification of some form would be appreciated.

You can go back to the online store and look at the order you just placed and it will tell you if your order is Shipped/Complete or on back order and in the notes it will tell you what item(s) are on back order. We have been trying hard to eliminate back orders but that is impossible without hundered of thousands $ of inventory. If you click on the description of the product you can see what we have in inventory and if it only says 3 don’t order 4 or you will have a back order. We are working on keeping this up to date every day and with the inventory system we have eliminated a lot of the back orders. Since I am not the person doing the shipping anymore we have a whole new set of issues that we are working on. This includes keeping up the inventory, shipping orders. We have some part time guys doing orders at the moment and we are still training them and they make mistakes and we are working on that. If you have a problem with your order please either email or call me and we can get it taken care of

I didn’t know that about the back order status reply/update on our order on the website. Thanks. That is exactly what I was looking for and it was there all along. I also never saw the quantity in stock under the descriptions. I went and spot checked the catalogue and saw the quantity listed on a lot of the products. Some were missing it though, but either way, this is all great info to know and will be very helpful in the future. Thanks for the reply and the education on some of the features on the site that I didn’t know about.

Some items like the spotters and things like that do not because I have a lot of empty bottles that have not been labeled yet and I do not want them listed that way. I am working on the other items and they are coming online with the quantity soon. Glad that we can be of some help to you guys and making ordering a little easier.
