I just sent out an email yesterday to everybody asking for thoughts and prayers for everyone along the East Coast in preparation for Hurricane Dorian from the corporate office. Our prayers and thoughts are with all those that will be affected in this storm.
A good way of generating revenue is GOOGLE LOCAL SERVICE ADS. This has been phenomenal for some of the individuals that have already signed up. As you’ll see here, Dan Child, one of the owners (who also operates a franchise system in Sacramento, California) sent this out to all of his franchisees. It’s not going to be in everyone’s area yet, as it still being rolled out, but it looks like it could be somewhat of a game-changer to help y’all.

I hope everyone is doing well and getting busier with the change of weather. Google has a new advertising campaign that is called Google Local Service Ads, which is pay per call instead of pay per click. Google does a free background check and verifies each business insurance and license. This new service is getting greater exposure and pops up on the side advertising the business that is Google Certified. Their contact number is 1-833-272-1444. You can also access it online, but it is easier to let a representative walk you through it.
An advantage of this service is you can narrow the exposure to a specific area, so that you are not paying for leads outside your area. Plan on setting your budget high, for example, mine is set at $400 per week. I only paid $66.00 my first week and was able to book 6 jobs. You will have an app on your phone that you will be able to monitor it daily. My son in Long Beach had his budget set at $700 per week, but only used 25% of his budget and was able to book the majority of the leads. There is an advantage to setting the budget high to get the most exposure, but you can decrease the budget at anytime”
As I talk to you guys, there are a lot of you that do not understand or haven’t seen what has happened to your website with the company in Rexburg. Most of you have not recognized that your ever so important URL has been changed and only after talking to you and explaining the situation to you, I get some comments about the phone calls slowing down and such. Your website is a very important part of your business, and if you’re not aware of what’s going on, then you’re not staying up to speed. As stated previously if you are with the Rexburg company your DIRECT LINK with Heaven’s Best has been broken now for over 6 months. If there are any questions regarding your URL, you should be asking them, because this is a part of your business that makes your phone ring.
The back end of the store is mostly complete, there are a few little things that are still being worked out but as of now you can go in and submit all your monthly reports that you are behind on.
We are working with a new IT company on doing a single log on. They are working through the previous situation from the other company that has made this more difficult than it should be. The goal is to have one log on for everything the store, Heavens Best ads, monthly report, newsletters, etc.
We will be doing a National Webinar on September 24th, 2019 at 2:00pm PST and another one on the 28th at 9:00 PST. I understand the times won’t work for everyone but hope that some preplanning will help facilitate as many as possible to attend. The 2:00pm call will have EZ Local starting the call to go over some things with you. Then they will leave, and we will continue the call.

Make sure your van DOES NOT look like this. It is unappealing, and gives a bad first impression to any potential customers that see you driving it.

Where did the summer go? The kids are back in school and I have no one to mow my lawn. This month let’s talk about the Upholstery Mate. After living on a farm all of my life, the loud noise of the equipment has taken a toll on my hearing. It’s never too late to think about your hearing safety.
Moving parts wear out on all equipment. So if you think your blower motors are loud and screaming, then so will your customer. Do not lose a good customer because you haven’t taken time to keep your equipment in tip-top condition. Replace the blower if it is too loud, and always keep your equipment clean.
