The stain that I seem to have to make the most return visits on is a water stain on commercial carpet that is glued to the cement. They normally come from a splilled mop bucket or clear water from various sources. The last one was from a bottled water cooler/dispenser that leaked out, leaving a stain the size of a large dinning table. I added orange deodorizer to my normal 101, buffed, toweled and set up a fan to dry quickly. I always spray lightly to avoid wicking but always have to return at least one or two times before I get rid of the stain. Does anyone have a better trick to reduce this to a single attempt?

I’ve had similar issues from time to time. I have one now that I am returning to tomorrow. Usually it is pop or oily products wicking back up from the concrete. John at the home office suggested to me once to spray the spot where the stain was with protector to reduce chances of it wicking back.

Rust remover mixed one-to-one with water. Spray the area with care not to get too wet. Let dwell for 10 minutes. Clean with 101 and a strong addition of orange deodorizer. Dry down as much as possible. I’ve used this procedure with good success.

As I was reading this challenge, I was thinking exactly what Ferris wrote!!!! So ditto! I also have had success with this challenge. If I need to return after that, I extract after the Rust Remover/water combo, bring the turbo fan and end w/ Protector. Never had a third visit to spot.

I ran across this yesterday and tried the rust remover. Looked good when I left. Thanks for all the great tips!
