What products are you using to clean your dirty pads at the end of the day? One operator I know told me he used 2 cups of bleach per load. That seems a bit much but I am would like to hear from others.

Good to hear from you Don,
I use a quarter to half cup of color fast bleach with each load. All depends on the load. I use bleach so I can’t be accused of taking someones disease or problem from one home to the next. And color fast isn’t as damaging to the towels or pads as regular bleach.

    Hi Donny!
I use “he”tide and about a half cup of bleach. If I have an extra dirty load, I turn off the cold water supply valve to the machine to assure the machine fills with hothot water. Remember to turn valve back on after it has filled. I also add additional hot water and bleach to the load if I have an extremely filthy load.

I’ve tide lots of different soaps but liquid tide and 3 to 4 oz of beach and very hot water work best. Use your stained pads in rental units where the owner is not looking over your shoulder and your nice new pads on the higher end jobs, I’m sure we all do this anyways but just a good reminder.

I ran into a vendor the other day, he was trying to sell me some new pads (i only buy from Cody). He told me he sold some pads to a lady the other day so she could have them on hand next time ChemDry showed up to clean her house. The last time they cleaned their pads were stained and worn, she is going to present them with her own new pads to clean with, how imbarrassing will that be for the cleaner!… Thanks for the heads up on using colorfast bleach, gonna try that.
