I’ve noticed the local Domino’s pizza has gone from hanging door hanger discounts to hanging out at the busiest corner in town with discount signs (light weight sign board 1/4″ thick, approximately 2 1/2′ X 4′ .) Sign on both sides with rope between to hold it on the shoulders. They have been doing this for about six months. In the last three months, I’ve noticed a local Mexican restaurant doing the same thing and several others in the last few weeks. Now these people holding the sign are nuts. They just don’t stand there, they are moving the signs back and forth, they jump up and down, do a little dance, and wear some of the goofiest hats I’ve ever seen. I’m sure these guys (or Galls) get paid minimum wage, and I’m sure the companies are profiting by it. So, what are your thoughts on doing this about quitting time with Heaven’s Best? Say about 5 to 7pm paying a high school or college student minimum wage for two hours a day… Good name awareness or not?
After thinking on this a while, I think it works well for “spontaneous moment” food places. Maybe it’s carpet cleaners time to pass out door hangers (without the goofy hat) in selected areas… That way the flier will be in the home to look at.
Being Tax season, I just passed a human “statue of liberty” jumping around like a nut in front of an accountants office. It got my attention. I also passed the Chik-Fil-A cow dancing on a corner.
Maybe I can build a giant vacuum costume! That would be great!
