I have a job next week to clean 5 pieces of furniture on a large boat, the customer told me the furniture label says it is a sil & polyester blend and I just wanted to ask if anyone had an experience with this type of fabric and any tips/concerns I should know about?.

Make sure to bring a fan to dry it as the nap will not look good otherwise. Lots of time with horse hair brush. Also, I’ve seen silk fabric rip easily before if it is old and brittle. Make sure to preinspect all furniture, especially since it’s on a boat and may have sun damage if in a sunny spot. Sounds like it should be an impressive boat!
Thanks for the info Dave, I am looking forward to the job, the lady said it’s a 60 foot boat that functions as a vacation home for them during the summer…sounds like a rough life…lol
