I wanted to ask what you guys think about us going after national chains?, for example I know some of you service “The Best Western” hotels and some service “Fred Myers”. I wanted to toss out the idea that if we all put in a modest amount of money we could get an experienced national sales rep to go after the big chains. I think this would be a great way to not only improve revenue but also increase our brand name recognition.

I think you have a great idea but it won’t be as easy as you think. I stay away from hotels simply because they want everything done for next to nothing. I have a few franchised, local and national, businesses that I work for. The National is US Cellular but the 6 stores in my area are owned by 1 guy. No ties to the ones in your area. I would say that you can now walk in to tell the manager of your US Cell store that we clean in six of your stores in Iowa. 😆

We are currently working out the details of the Fred Meyer account and this will help us lay the foundation for many more accounts like this in the future. There are issues that need to be resolved because of the exclusive territory every operator has. There are also many areas that would need to be serviced where we do not have an operator. We are addressing these issues and will formulate a policy which will allow us to pursue more national accounts in the near future.May 21, 2009 at 4:40 pm #153566pachecoParticipantWhoever Fred is? Never heard of him..must be a big guy though.

Some of the stores have a larger foot print depending on the products they carry. I think they are part of the Kroger Co. which is a very big nation wide company doing business under many different names. Go get em’ Cody!

They sold anything and everything you could imagine. This would be great for everyone, and even better for those who have the very large stores
