    I don’t know about you but we are getting a lot more estimate request from the hb web site. I did not know until last month that I can have these text messaged to my phone. I am not sure why I missed that info, But if you don’t have the estimates texted I would get it right away. All you have to do is set it up in the my info on the operators only side. Type in your phone number and service provider and done. I would test it to make sure it works. You will still get an email as well. I had a lady send an estimate request over the weekend @ 9:30 pm and today we are cleaning for her $330 job. This is an amazing tool that takes less time to do than it took to read this message. AND ITS FREE!!! Thanks Justin and the guys behind this at corporate

    I really hope more people can get some use out of this as well. Don’t forget to mark “yes” on receive estimates via text messaging. If you have any problems setting it up, feel free to contact me for help.

    Some one was looking over me on this one. The day I posted this the email had a glitch in it. If it were not for the text message I would have missed a job that was over $300.

    Slightly different topic but related to estimates.
    With people tightening up the wallet, it has become more difficult to land those new customers over the phone. If I feel I am about to loose them on the phone, I push for a free “in-home” estimate. I feel that the face-to-face contact will seal the deal. I normally don’t worry about the few that I loose but now I want 100%.

    In my area people just flat out want the cheapest regardless. In January I booked 12% of non-repeat customers calling from YP’s, and that was with giving a 20% discount.
