Does anyone work for the LDS church?
July 18, 2008 at 8:01 am #152364AnonymousInactiveI would say so.
July 19, 2008 at 12:55 am #152365AnonymousInactiveWas that a “yes I have done jobs for the LDS church” or was it a “I know people who have done jobs for the LDS church” because for all of the contextual information I was able to glean from your reply, I am still at a loss. I mean for all I know it could be shorthand for “I Worked Out Utah Latter Day Saints carpet Allowance Yesterday, it’s Simple Olefin” (you know, like rofl).
Like I said in the title, at the risk of offending….Does anyone have any information on LDS church contracts, how they obtained them, what the proper channels were, what the requirements were…. I am interested in the hundreds of thousands of square feet they have cleaned annually.
September 17, 2008 at 6:36 am #152366HBplantcityflaParticipantI am Mormon and have tried to get in myself too. In fact I the facilities director is in my ward. From talking to him, it is pretty much impossible to get in unless we as an entire company bid for the contract. There is a company called Varsity Contracting that handles all of their work. That is one thing. Also, they specifically say that they only want truckmount systems used. This of course is for all of the west and Alaska, I don’t know about the eastern US. I have to agree though, it would be a good contract to have! No coffee! 🙂 🙂 🙂
September 29, 2008 at 3:58 pm #152367HBPuyallupParticipantI have talked to the stake president and facility manager as well and yes if will be very hard to get them. I walked into on one day and saw that is was horrible and later found out that someone had spilled a gallon of syrup and the company that cleaned it had been there 6 time to clean it up. He said I wouldn’t be able to clean it up. I told that I could and talked to the stake president to see if I could clean it for free and just try. I was bugging me that my churches carpet was so dirty. I cleaned it and it looked better. I tried and nothing came of it. I know Cody and come others have tried and I think maybe even did some biding. I haven’t heard about the HWE though. Hopefully some day when we get bigger as a whole.

September 30, 2008 at 2:17 pm #152369Larry youngParticipantGordon why is that?
September 30, 2008 at 3:47 pm #152370hbottumwaParticipantIn the newsletter coming out in Oct or Nov 2008, Corporate will outline one more reason it has never been better to be Heaven’s Best! Tandus Carpet is one of the largest, if not the largest maker of commercial carpet! Remember the name “Tandus”, it is about to be music to the ears and the check book! If things unfold the way I think they will, you might consider adding a few employees!

September 30, 2008 at 10:31 pm #152372HBPuyallupParticipantI have heard rumors that we might be the only or one of the few company that is company endorses. If so that would be one more thing that sets apart for the competition. I am anxious to see what the future holds.

If you like to keep it all in the family, you might consider adopting children. More than one wife could get you arrested. (hah, hah, he, he)
