Think I have it figured out, but wanted a heads up from the pros. I picked up an oriental rug from a customer today and it has the usual puppy piss on it which is no problem, but she mentioned, not on the phone but when we picked it up, that it has black graphite pencil dots on it from the puppy getting a hold of it and chewing it on the rug. The pencil says “water soluble” on it but I’m worried it won’t be as easy I hope. We are to drop it off on Monday the 27th of Aug. I should have no problems and will update you guys on this one. Just let me know and all of us that don’t know what you would do. I’ll let you know what I do. The pencil is being used in this case for a scrapbooking purposes. Hope all is well. Have a great weekend guys and gals. 😀

Mike, I’d probably try and dab some dry solvent and if that didn’t work then I’d try and dab a little filtration remover. Seems like the puppy problem could potentially be a problem depending on how long it has been there. Very hard to dislodge dried urine from the foundation of the rug, especially if it is a rug from India or Pakastan with a scrim backing.
