after the seminar I have been getting a lot of calls from s.m. I would like to know how many people use them and how does it work. are you getting lot of jobs ❓

When they are contacted they send out up to three leads (one to you and 2 to competitors) for $12/lead. It costs $49.95 to sign up with a deal for Heaven’s Best. Normally it is $99.99. Check out their website.

February 28, 2007 at 5:24 am #149008AnonymousInactiveWe arent having a good time with Service Magic. They insisted on the $99 to sign up so we paid. Since then we have gotten about 15 calls from them. Each time we get a call we press the 1 to connect. Each time the customers’ phone is busy. We leave a voicemail, send an email, and keep trying.
Eventually we reach them and they say “Oh someone beat you to it. We already booked with the first person to call.”
They dont want to hear our prices, system plan, anything. It is just “sorry too slow”. Even though we pressed the one to connect.
I dont know how the competitor keeps getting there before us or why the customer isnt interested in evaluating all of their choices, but it doesnt seem to be working well for us.
I tried to voice my concerns with our SM rep and he said “We dont guarantee these leads and we cant make the consumer use the service to their highest advantage.”
In the meantime, we have spent $156 on people who wouldnt even look at our profile or listen to our speal.
I think we will be investing our advertising funds elsewhere.

This is the exact same thing that happened to us. I don’t recommend SM.

They have an internal arbiter to settle disputes…they won, and I lost a whole $12…I told them, at the time something like “please remove me from your list”. They did, reluctantly.
In our rural area, there are not many calls from them in any event and to me it is not worth the time, money and mental frustrations to deal with them. In a more sophisticated metropolitan area, I think SM may be more useful…
Those that are using them successfully…great!!!!!!! I heard the testimonies at LV and thought that maybe my experience was just due to me and my area or my attitude…could be. I just choose not to compete with any competitors in the SM marketplace for any jobs….and then pay for the privilege.
