I am curious about these areas for sale. Are some of you who are selling not happy with the franchise? Are you in a dead area? Or what is going on? Really none of my business but I’m sure others would like to know. It would help educate the rest of us on dead areas in our counties or cities.

November 12, 2006 at 8:09 pm #148011chez6996ParticipantNOT DEAD AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!! In fact it was one of my best areas, man just up and retired, no notice, by the way area has been sold. Hope this answers your question as far as Florida area goes.

Rural customers have carpet as well, why not be the company and above all the FRANCHISE company that those customers are using. Being part of a franchise only helps to sell your biz, in a rural area or any area as far as that goes. I can not count the number of people I have told about our company and referred to urban city operators, and almost weekly get calls from city customers that don’t have a clue how to get ahold of their city operator. Just a little food for thought as well, low crime rates, affordable rent and property, oh yeah a great income and the freedom of working for myself. Ill take the rural area any day there mikey and laugh all the way to the bank.

Hey Jwoelk, this is why; For Example– A town here in Texas called Pettus, where my wife is from, Is 250 miles away from San Antonio, McAllen(my Area), Corpus Christi, 500 miles from Dallas, 250 Miles from Houston, etc.. I don’t have any problems with rural areas. Why not hit them up if they are within 50, even 100 miles away. But cleaning in a small town of 86 people won’t have you laughing to the bank, but crying and saying why God. I get your point, no doubt about that. This has happened to an operator here in Texas. She started off with a town of 2000, which is small to me, and now owns Corpus area, but she struggled for quite a while with this area, regardless of the amount of PR that was done. Thank God Corpus was only an hour and half away. Violet Aden is her name. She got us into the business and I thank God for her everyday. I pray for her at the same time. I realize that no one would start a Heaven’s Best in a town with 86 people. Again, I should have used a better choice of words. Thanks for replys.

I live in a town consiting of 15k, 24k for County.
!. you can be top dog with only one van and have everyone know it.
2. I only put 8 – 10k miles on my van each year. Most jobs are with in 3-5 minites away. I currently have a “93” van that looks like new and only has 71.000 miles on it.
3. Major shopping from La Grande is 2hs. away so my wife doesn’t spend as much.
4. We are well known in the community.(everybody knows everybody) and your repution is what you will live or die by FAST. You go anywhere and people have ?’s and ask for a card to put on there fridge. Word of mouth is huge! I know my neighbors by name. Most of us have lived here more than ten years.
5. People are thoughtful and very friendly.
6. You are expected to be involved in your community.
7. Quality of life is important. I or my wife and children can walk anywhere and be save.
Conclusion: you can make it work where ever you live (over 20k). The most important ? to me is are you living where you want to live? doing what you want to you? I am and I’m content.
