Has anyone had any issues with the new spray canisters? I just received a brand new one and after one use it is already spitting and shooting small streams of protectant. It worked fine for the first few minutes, and then started spitting fluid. I took the nozzle apart to try to see if anything was stuck, but everything seemed okay. Now, it still spits and barely sprays….

    Maybe I have a defective one??? ❓

    Hey Danbo,

Is it one of the white ones, if it is I’ve already had two of them break on me, so I went to my local hardware store and bought a nice gallon size sprayer with measurements on the side. It also has a wand so I don’t have to bend over as far, saving the back is good business.

I still like the chromed metal one that I got when I got into the business. The tip needs peiodic cleaning and or replacement. I think Brain Sutton has posted how he cleans hisin the bulletin board somewhere. Youy may have to do a search. Only drawback is you need a comperssor or air tank in the van. I have a 150 psi compessor in my van. When the pressure gets low I plug it in and it is good for another week.

    HBSeattle,

Does that one from the hardware store spray a fine mist as well? Have you been happy with it?

    L Turner,

Thanks for the info on the compressor. I assume they are worth having over the manual bicycle style pump…

    Hey Danbo,

Yes, it sprays a fine mist and it makes it so much easier just having to pump 10 times and being ready to roll. I like not having to worry if my canister is going to run out of pressure half way through a 1000 sq ft job. and it only cost me 30 bucks.

I finaly went to a regular compressor rather than the battery operated ones after I went thru 3 of them in a 3 year period. They always crapped out just when I really needed them. Plus I can pull it out and use it at home for shop use when I need to. It is a porter cable brand with a short and wide 3 gallon tank. With 150 psi it is pressurized in seconds and will spray longer before recharging the pressure.
