On Monday, I will put a bid together for cleaning carpets at 6 hotels owned by the same group of people. They want an itemized bid for a per room rate, per step rate and rates for the halls and lobby. They also mentioned their interest in implimenting a maintainance schedule. My plan is to bid at a price that I feel is fair for everyone involved, me in particular. I would like some feed-back from others as to how they have bid and wether they were comfortable with that bid. I didn’t plan to get into hotel work, but when you commit to an employee, extra is better than less.
    Thanks in advance!

    BRIAN,

I WAS DOING A HOTEL FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF. $20 PER ROOM
REGARDLESS OF SIZE..A STEAM CLEANER CAME IN AND BID IT AT $18 A ROOM AND THEY CHANGED TO THEM …GO FIGURE…IT IS JUST AS WELL THEY HAD TONS OF STAIRS TO CLIMB,AND I AM A ONE MAN OPERATION. IT WAS A GREAT MONEY MAKER BUT A BUTT KICKER FOR ME SO IF YOU HAVE A YOUNGSTER TO DO THE CLIMBING OR BETTER YET ACCESS TO AN ELEVATOR IT WOULD BE A BIG HELP…

The last hotel I bid, I did at .12, they vacume, I clean. On the bid sheet I broke it down by 1 floor halls, 2 floor halls, meeting rooms, the rooms they had were the same floor plan except for 4 of them (slightley smaller) I bid them at 18$ (.12) per sqaure ft. stair wells I went 18 & 30,
Red dye was done as needed at extra charges.
in the rooms I move the desk chairs
    that was the deal made

$1382 was the total They were very happy, so were we. 😀
    hope this helps
