I’m going to be putting together a little packet so that I can network/advertise to some other “home” related services, (i.e. maid services, window cleaners, carpet salesman, realtors, handy man, lawn care, furniture medics).
Have any of you done this? What did you do?
March 29, 2006 at 2:18 am #146078HB2003ParticipantLast week I actually went to a couple of maid services and a handy man business. I just introduced myself, explained my business, and talked about using each other as a source of referral. I got a great response and actually got a call today from someone that was referred by the maid service.
I am working on getting together with the “big wigs” (owners, BIC) of some realtor companies. I have actually spoke with a couple to see if they would mind giving me a few minutes of their time to allow me to come in and talk about my business. I have received very positive feedback so far and am typing up personalized letters on letterhead to take to these offices along with the Intro letter and Bus. card.

March 29, 2006 at 12:28 pm #146080HB2003ParticipantLaura actually had some of those at our conference. Pretty tasty as well…
March 29, 2006 at 10:37 pm #146081AnonymousInactiveI would also like to network with some real estate agents and was wondering what other operators do to market our service to them as well as the clientele the real estate agent is serving. Giveaways, discounts, etc? I know at one time I saw posts on this subject on the old bulletin board, but cant’ recall what was disgussed.
March 31, 2006 at 2:40 am #146082AnonymousInactiveI am putting together a presentation for a group of realtors for late April. We will be giving them a “goody” bag (white bag with HB logo). The bag will have the following:
keychain light (w/ HB logo)
coffee cup (w/ HB logo)
cookie (w/ HB logo)
magnet
biz cards. Each realtor will also receive a presentation folder with various other things like coupons, tri-fold informative brochure. We will also be leaving 3 rakes with them. This broker has 30 agents. My goal is to target the top 3 real estate brokers in town. If I can do the same with them then that’ll be nearly 100 agents.
March 31, 2006 at 3:59 am #146083AnonymousInactiveHow did you ever make the angel in the logo, on a cookie? Interesting though, I like the cookie thing. Did keebler have anything to do with it? 😕
March 31, 2006 at 4:30 am #146084AnonymousInactiveThere is a company that making them (ask Lara Burkhard).

We have a local bakery print our HB logo with phone number on sugar cookies w/white frosting and blue print. I believe they screen print on rice paper. They make a great presentation and taste great! This has been a big hit with commercial accounts, car dealers, realtors, carpet stores, etc. You may want to contact a few bakeries in your area, I’m sure you will find someone offering a similar deal.
April 3, 2006 at 2:58 am #146086AnonymousInactiveI did just that about 8 months ago and the company that you get them through were much cheaper than the local bakeries in my areas. What was that company again?
April 3, 2006 at 3:12 am #146087AnonymousGuestRon:
The company is Rossmoor Pastries at rossmoorpastries.com (562) 430-1071. They already have our logo on file. The cookies are $22.00/dozen. I usally mixed an assortment of fresh cookies from Costco and several of the cookies with the logo in a nice bakery box with our label & business card attached. This makes the package more affordable. We normally drop off these types of goodies during holidays. Our last drop off was St. Patrick’s week. We are now getting ready to visit offices during Easter week.
Take care
